Using Natural Language Processing (NLP) to Enhance Your Conversations Session

This session was led by Software Engineers Anthony Kesich and Julien Odent and covered how businesses and developers can use NLP to enhance conversations with customers and drive business outcomes.

Anthony began the session by discussing M, your helpful assistant in Messenger, powered by artificial intelligence. He introduced M translations, sharing that now when people connected through Marketplace receive a message in a language that is different from their default language in Messenger, M will ask them if they want to translate the message. He then did a technical deep-dive, explaining the technology that powers M suggestions. Julien Odent discussed our newly announced integration for Built-in NLP and the Page Inbox, and then gave the audience a closer look into how they can incorporate NLP into their own Messenger experiences.
